We are delighted to advise Henry Buwalda has joined the Stamford team to lead our Victorian operations. Henry brings to Stamford a great deal of experience, in particular in Victorian property markets, having led various teams across multiple banks in Melbourne for over 35 years. Through that time, Henry has built a wealth of knowledge and strong relationships that have always been customer outcome focused. Henry’s values are consistent with Stamford’s particularly around being a trusted advisor to his clients.
Opening an office in Victoria has long been a strategic objective of the group. We see having coverage in Victoria as critical for the completion of the eastern seaboard distribution for capital. We will bring to Victoria our deep and connected capital relationships including banks, non-banks, domestic and off-shore capital partners, with which we have transacted over $3.6 billion of deals. The relationship we enjoy with capital will drive better customer outcomes – particularly when credit markets continue to tighten as we are now experiencing.
